At Shults Orthodontics, we place an emphasis on keeping up with all the most recent orthodontic treatments and technology so that we can provide the latest in state-of-the-art technology for our patients. As your trusted West Palm Beach and Wellington, FL orthodontist, our patients’ oral health is our number one priority, which is why we go above and beyond to provide all of the newest orthodontic treatments. Some of these convenient and efficient types of braces that we offer in our office include the following.

Damon Self-Ligating Braces

Damon braces utilize a sliding-door technology that’s known as self-ligation. As opposed to older braces that require metal or elastic ties, self-ligating Damon braces use a sliding door to secure the orthodontic archwires. The ties of the older braces were hard to clean and could often trap plaque that could stain the ties and sometimes even stained the tooth enamel around the brackets. In addition, the ties could be time consuming to place and remove. However, Damon braces are easier to clean, don’t stain, and they’ll take less time to adjust at your appointments.

Insignia Digital Braces

Insignia braces offer a revolutionary custom approach to orthodontics. By using digital technology, Insignia can create precise brackets and wires to better suit your individual orthodontic needs. This results in both greater comfort and a shorter treatment time. It has the efficiency of braces that are custom-made to your teeth and orthodontic archwires that are robotically fabricated to your unique requirements.

Alias Lingual Braces

Alias braces are a state-of-the-art orthodontic treatment for both teens and adults. Unlike traditional braces, Alias braces are unnoticeable because they’re placed on the tongue (lingual) side of the teeth. Alias braces are the only entirely customized lingual braces that are available today. Since Alias braces are customized to the shape of your teeth and to your dental situation, they are completely unique and no two sets of these braces will be alike. With Alias braces, you’ll get effective and efficient tooth movement along with the wonderful aesthetics. It makes for a great option when removable aligners aren’t adequate for the treatment and traditional braces aren’t aesthetically pleasing.
