COVID-19 Update - Office Re-Opening May 11th

I sincerely hope everyone is safe and well. We are looking forward to seeing you again and continuing to provide your orthodontic care in the safest and most secure environment possible. The question is, when can we get started?

On March 20th Governor DeSantis mandated closure of Orthodontic offices permitting emergency-only treatment through May 8th. It is uncertain at this time exactly when that mandate will be lifted. However, we are moving forward with positive intent and are starting to schedule patients for Monday, May 11th.

Please note: our actual re-opening date may change and we may have to move appointments. But our goal is to minimize inconvenience to you and help part of our community start to get back in business.

Office Changes

We have been working diligently on our re-opening plan to ensure protection of our patients and staff. In the short term, we must continue to respect social distancing and personal hygiene. Only 10 or fewer people, including staff, will be permitted in the office at any time. This will require scheduling fewer patients at the most popular times (sorry) and only allowing patients in the office (very sorry). Parents and siblings are asked to stay in the car. At the end of each appointment we will summarize treatment progress and schedule your next appointment by calling you in your car. Hand sanitizer will be available when entering and leaving the office. Please wear you own mask and brush and floss your teeth at home before coming to the appointment.

We have always been in full compliance with the CDC, OSHA and Florida Department of Health standards for sterilization and infection control. We use the industry standards for high heat sterilization of all instruments that touch you. Anything that cannot tolerate the heat is disposable and thrown out at the end of each procedure. We will continue to monitor, update and implement new policies as they develop to ensure your safety.

Stay Safe!

Please contact the office with any questions, concerns you may have or to schedule a virtual orthodontic appointment (561-793-9888 or email [email protected]). I will also be posting updates on our Facebook page (Shults Orthodontics) and here on our website. If you are experiencing an orthodontic emergency please call me directly on my mobile (561-685-0469). Looking forward to seeing you very soon.
