Randall C. Shults DDS, MA, PhD

Dr. Randall C. Shults, a specialty trained orthodontist, completed five years of study after receiving his four-year dental degree. He obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Colorado School of Dentistry and earned a certificate in orthodontics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He also holds a PhD in physiology. Knowledge of this field has allowed Dr. Shults to expand his expertise in human growth, development and sensation, which is evident in his compassionate, comprehensive, evidence-based approach to treatment.

Following his training, Dr. Shults taught orthodontics at the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry, lectured widely and participated in orthodontic research and publication.

He established his practice in Wellington, FL in 1993 with the single purpose of providing comprehensive, quality orthodontic health care to the residents of Wellington and surrounding communities.

Dr. Shults is currently an adjunct clinical professor at Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine, director of the Palm Beach County Orthodontic Assistant Certification, past President of Palm Beach County Dental Association and former chairman of the Palm Beach County Peer Review.

To stay abreast of the latest advancements in orthodontics, he maintains memberships in the American Association of Orthodontists, Southern Association of Orthodontists, Florida Association of Orthodontists, South Florida Academy of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association and the Central Palm Beach County Dental Association.
